[ For someone as patient as Jade, it seems like just yesterday that Mr. Dvorski's final report graced the polished wood of her office desk. Kind and effective as he ever was, perhaps she should have been less surprised that his final parting gift would be his greatest accomplishment of all— a formal referral of his best and brightest (even if Jade herself always kept an eye — and sometimes a guiding hand— on all rising stars). Young, ambitious, and kinda Jelena.

She waits at the docking bay for Jelena's ship to finally come to port, the whirlwind ceremonies and formalities of her rise to one of the Ten Stonehearts finally drawing to a close. Short was the time that she had to relax on Pier Point again before inevitably being sent out on a high profile mission. That was the fate of the debt collector, after all. Best to seize this opportunity before the others monopolized all of the time of their newest and youngest.

(Perhaps this would be one of the greatest tests of all for Topaz — to see how she fared in the den forged from Diamond.) ]

Ah, there she is. Miss Topaz.

[ Jade approaches with a smile on her lips and one arm outstretched to place on Topaz's shoulder once she was close enough. ]

You have my congratulations. [ Of course, she did. ] As well as my heartful enthusiasm for any and all future cooperation. I look forward to working together.

[ Jade laughs softly to herself as if she made a private joke. Perhaps she has, in fact, thinking that Topaz would wish to hear such formalities after everything she's been through recently. ]
